Real Estate Property Tax Appeal
The Aegis staff formulates an internal appraisal for a respective property which is utilized for the property tax appeal process. We review the valuation of the property via the “income” approach to value, the “cost” approach to value, and “market sales” review. We also review “equity” to ascertain that the value in question is fair in comparison to competing processes.
We first determine the viability of a valuation appeal case, and then file the appropriate, timely, legal documentation necessary to initiate an appeal hearing.
Our Mission is to guide the case through all informal hearings and negotiations, present our case to all Jurisdictional/County Boards, and to exercise all final options including State Board or Tax Court hearings. We also manage any necessary attorney and appraiser relationships as we proceed through the tax appeal process.
